Dome security cameras have a rounded shape, and can be installed on both walls and ceilings (as long as they are 3-axis models).

The main advantages over a bullet camera are that a dome camera offers greater protection against vandalism, tends to go more unnoticed, and is more difficult to manipulate (for example, it can be rotated). As disadvantages, if they are used outdoors they do not have a visor to protect them from the sun, and if they are placed on a wall they have more problems with dirt from dust and rain.
